The Society of Physics Students (SPS) is a national professional association explicitly designed for students interested in physics.
Sigma Pi Sigma exists to honor outstanding scholarship in physics.
USU’s SPS chapter:
• welcomes all majors
• maintains a vigorous educational outreach program
• conducts independent research
• hosts star parties, trebuchet & cooking contests
• participates in demo shows, homecoming, A-Day & Family Day, Physics Day at Lagoon
• makes tours of industrial and research labs
• organizes trips to regional and national meetings
• invites guest speakers
• encourages its members to compete for national scholarships and run for national office
• regularly chills out with food, games, videos
