The Society of Physics Students (SPS) is a national professional association explicitly designed for students interested in physics.

Sigma Pi Sigma exists to honor outstanding scholarship in physics.

USU’s SPS chapter:

1. • welcomes all majors
   

2. • maintains a vigorous educational outreach program
   

3. • conducts independent research
   

4. • hosts star parties, trebuchet & cooking contests
   

5. • participates in demo shows, homecoming, A-Day & Family Day, Physics Day at Lagoon
   

6. • makes tours of industrial and research labs
   

7. • organizes trips to regional and national meetings
   

8. • invites guest speakers
   

9. • encourages its members to compete for national scholarships and run for national office
   

10. • regularly chills out with food, games, videos
