National SPS Awards and Scholarships

Outstanding Chapter Awards

        2009    “USU's SPS Chapter exhibits a depth and breadth of activities, from research to outreach to service, that every chapter in the country would do well to emulate. Who wouldn't want to attend Physics Day at the Lagoon Amusement Park?!”

        2008     “During the year SPS members Keith Warnick & Cade Perkins were coauthors on four refereed publications. Twenty-three members made thirty-four presentations at various scholarly venues, including the APS Four-Corners meeting, CEDER, NCUR, USU Student Showcase, and Utah’s annual “Posters on the Hill” presentation for state legislators.”

        2007    “Hosted the Zone 15 Meeting, and held many SPS social events. Outreach included Physics Demo Night and a mentoring program for incoming freshmen. Community Service included a campus-wide blood drive and repair work at the Bear Lake Observatory.”
