Mark Riffe obtained his Bachelors
degree from Wake Forest University and subsequently his Ph.D. from Cornell
University. After postdoc
experience at Bell Laboratories (when it was still part of AT&T) and the University of Texas Austin, he moved to Utah to pursue further academic
interests at Utah State University.
His nonacademic interests include running, bicycling, and zymurgy, not
necessarily in that order.
