In this course, we present a group-theoretic development of gauge theory that avoids the differences usually found between ÒinternalÓ and ÒgravitationalÓ gaugings. All the fundamental interactions can be treated in an identical manner.

The course begins with the development of certain elements of the mathematical background, including differential forms, Lie groups, Lie algebras, and fiber bundles.

Applications will include Yang-Mills theories and the standard model, general relativity, and conformal gauge theories.
