1999 PHYSICS DAY AT LAGOON, MAY 21, 1999 TTI-49-99
The ninth annual Physic Day at Lagoon is upon us and following are program details.
Lagoon has agreed to provide all students with a discounted All Day Passport. The cost to students will be a reduced rate of $13.75 from the regular price of $29.70. The fee will provide admission to Lagoon and unlimited access to Lagoon rides (Sky Coaster and Top Eliminator are not included with All Day Passports). Tickets are to be purchased at the main gate and those schools paying by check should make it payable to Lagoon. The rides will be open from 9:30 to 4:30 and Physics Day events are scheduled from 10:00 to 3:30. Lagoon-a-Beach water park will not be open on this date. Concession stands will be open to provide lunch to the students. Picnic terraces will be available for those students who choose to bring their own lunches. Each faculty member who registers at the Main Gate will receive a complimentary admission pass from Lagoon and will be treated to a free lunch.
Enclosed is a preliminary school registration form, which must be, returned no later than April 15th. A final registration form will be presented at the main gate on Physics Day.
You should have received by now the Student Laboratory Workbooks, which is designed to encourage participation from all the students attending. The workbooks will be collected and returned to the teachers with solutions at the end of the day. Competition rules and event details can be obtained from the Utah State University Physics Department web site at
