* In class Wednesday Josh Hibbard asked about photon position
(in the context of the uncertainty principle). I will
have a little more to say about this soon, but this motivated
me to beef up section 6.8 in the text.

I have now made the assignment for problems
from Chapter 4. There will be student presentations on
these problems in class Feb. 28. \

Our second in-class homework session will be Monday, February
12 and will cover problems from
Chapter 3. The presenters and their problems will

As you might deduce, I am allowing about 15 minutes per problem.

January 31 and will cover problems from Chapter 2. The

As you might deduce, I am allowing 15 minutes per problem.
If it takes less than that, I will present problems 12
