    They who dream by day are cognizant of many things
    which escape those who dream only by night.

    -- Edgar Allen Poe, "Eleonora"

    When I am not hanging out (at Legoland with my buddy Tahu Nuva, or elsewhere) pursuing personal interests, it's a good bet I'll be doing something related to physics. These pages outline my professional activities and accomplishments, and provide links to all my current research, courses and schedules.

    Shane's Current Location (+/- ~10 km)

    Lat = 41d 09.185m N
    Long = 111d 56.688m W

    Someday I'll have a GPS connected to my wireless handheld, and I can update this more or less continuously! For now, this will have to be good enough. If you suspect that I've travelled out of the quoted radius, then check my schedule for any travel (junkets, X-prize flights, etc.) away from this location.

    My maximum Erdos number is 6:
    P. Erdos (0) -> E. Straus (1) -> A. Einstein (2) -> N. Rosen (3) -> I. Goldman (4) -> R. Hellings (5) -> S. Larson (6).
