View the Space Station
& Satellites
This project will be described
in class. If you have questions,
talk to the instructor.
Minimum Requirements:
¥ Observe a bright satellite (such as the
International Space Station or an Iridium Flare)
by using the Daily predictions for brighter satellites from
the Heavens-Above website found on the Links page of the class website
¥ From a dark
location on a clear night, observe as many satellites as you can in one hour.
¥ Indicate the time and path of each
satellite that you observed on a Sky Chart.
¥ Hand in the map of your predicted
satellite as well as the map of the other satellites that you observed
¥ A brief
description of how you carried out this project
