Graduate Studies Application Instructions

To apply for graduate studies in Physics you should send:

 • A letter of introduction (who you are, where you live, which degree you are pursuing, when you wish to start, etc.)

 • A CV.

 • General GRE scores.*

 • TOEFL scores (international applicants from non-English-speaking countries).*
 
 • Undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) transcripts.*

 • 3 Letters of recommendation.

These materials will be used to determine whether you can be admitted to the graduate program in Physics.
Successful applicants will then be assisted in completing the application/admissions procedure with the USU
School of Graduate Studies.

* At this stage of the application process, originals are not necessary - copies are ok. When your application is submitted to the School of Graduate Studies valid originals will be required.


Deadlines:

Evaluation of applications will begin on the following dates. Decisions will be made as soon as possible.

For admission in the Fall semester: January 15.

For admission in the Spring semester: June 1.

To ensure proper consideration of your application, your materials should arrive at the USU Physics Department no later than these dates.
